24 Years

My name is Romil Mavani, I’m 24, and I’m the Founder of Mavani Solution, a software development company and IT consultancy based in Surat.

We build mobile apps, web apps, and AI-powered solutions for startups and companies across India, the Middle East, and Europe.

I started my business in early 2022, when I was 21.

Honestly, I didn’t plan to start a company so early things just moved fast. I went from learning C/C++ on YouTube to freelancing, to leading development for international clients, and slowly realised that I wanted to build something of my own.

I’ve seen many startups struggle not because their idea is bad, but because they don’t have the right tech partner. That’s where I want Mavani Solution to make a difference. Tech should be a growth engine, not a bottleneck.

My mission is to bring strong engineering, clear processes, and a calm, trusting experience to every founder we work with. I want them to feel like we are a part of their internal team, not just another agency somewhere in the world.

We focus heavily on mobile apps, web development, and scalable backends, and we’ve helped clients cut costs by up to 40% without losing quality. My vision is to build a team that marries innovation and practicality, and to keep improving how software development is delivered.

"To help startups build reliable tech faster and 40% cheaper, so they can grow without limits."

What inspired you to start your own business?

I grew up in a middle-class family in Surat. Nobody around me talked about startups or tech companies. My journey actually started on YouTube. I learned programming from random videos, trying things out every evening.

When I became a Flutter developer for a USA-based company, I realised how powerful global tech work could be. Then freelancing opened my eyes even more - I was working with founders from multiple countries, and I loved building something from scratch.

But the turning point was this:
I noticed many founders struggled with the tech side, even when their idea was amazing. They didn’t know whom to trust. Some overpaid, some got stuck with poor-quality apps, and some gave up entirely. I felt I could fix that gap.

That’s what pushed me to build Mavani Solution, a place where the team actually cares about the founder’s success.

How did you turn your idea into a business?

It started very small. I began freelancing, taking whatever projects I could get. Slowly, I built a portfolio with Flutter apps, NodeJS, and React work. Clients started referring me to their friends. That’s when I realised this could become a company.

I hired one developer first, then one more. I rented a small office in Surat. We started taking on bigger projects — apps with millions of users, analytics dashboards, custom AI features, and full-stack platforms.

There was no big strategy.

Just three things:

  • Deliver great work.

  • Stay honest with clients.

  • Learn new things constantly.

That’s how the idea became a company.

How did you get your customers?

Most of our early clients came through:

  1. Referrals
People liked our work and shared it with their network. This still brings us the best clients.

  2. LinkedIn
I started sharing small posts about Flutter, tech, and my learnings. That helped me connect with founders and CTOs.

  3. Word-of-mouth from previous employers
Some old clients came back to work with us again. To retain customers, we follow a simple rule: be transparent, deliver on time, and communicate every day.

What is your average monthly revenue?

I prefer not to share exact numbers publicly, but we have had steady growth every year.

A few milestones I’m proud of:

  • We’ve built 37+ applications used by lakhs of people.

  • We work with clients in India, Middle East, USA, Malaysia and Europe.

  • We’ve grown from 1 person to 17 people in the team.

How are you doing today and what plans for the future?

We’re in a very healthy stage. We’ve worked with one VC-backed AI startup, multiple funded startups, and long-term clients. We’ve built a strong team in Flutter, Node, React, and AI.

Right now we’re focusing on:

  • Focusing on mobile-first development

  • Clear communication with our clients

  • Delivering fast MVPs and scaling their product, not just developing it.

  • Building long-term partnerships instead of one-time projects.

  • Growing our own team management tools

Mistakes / Missed opportunities:

  • I waited too long to hire my first PM (project manager).

  • I said “yes” to some clients I shouldn’t have.

  • I didn’t market myself enough in the early days.
    All these were great lessons.

Future Plans:

  • Build our own AI tools.

  • Expand into the Middle East and Europe with more partnerships

  • Offer complete tech teams for startups, not just development

What advice would you give to budding founders?

These are points founders should keep in mind forever.

  • Start small. Don’t wait for the “perfect” moment.

  • Talk to customers early.

  • Build consistency, daily small steps beat big ideas.

  • Surround yourself with people who push you.

  • Don’t chase funding, chase clarity, product-market fit, and execution.

  • And most importantly, learn to communicate well. It changes everything.

Where can we find you?
